Back in 2013 our family did the Polar Express and what a treat it was in Durango! The Author of the book was there doing book signings in the train station!!! Durango prides it’s self on the Polar Express and they well deserve it, the experience was through the roof! I have heard about other railroads around the country doing the polar express but this one is the one everyone defers too and well the writer of the whole story is often seen at the Durango Polar Express, so that speaks volumes!!!!
Now the best part is stay at a hotel CLOSE to the depot, we did and myself and the kids love hearing the steam engine sounds all evening long!!! That just puts you in the mood all the more! 😉
